SKU 506L is MD's 38 degree PVC connector for central vacuum pipe, a low-angle elbow that sits between the 30 degree spigot fitting and the standard 45 in the same range.

A shallower angle spreads a change of direction over a wider turn, which helps where a run has to drift around a joist or a duct rather than turn a corner. MD's standing recommendation across its elbow range is to use as wide a turn as the job allows, on the grounds that gentle bends give debris less to catch on and are the simplest way to keep a line from collecting clogs.
