Returns & Exchanges

Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.

Return eligibility

Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Colour is the whole decision on this part. An AUTOMATIC X2 or X5 finished in white takes the white brush cover, and part 5249WE is it — the same component as the dark blue cover, moulded in the shade that keeps a repaired machine looking untouched.

The cover caps the brush roller end of the power head. It holds the roller assembly enclosed, seals that end of the housing against knocks, and keeps stray fibre and grit from getting in from the side rather than through the nozzle. Damage is almost always sudden and physical: a stair nosing caught at speed, a doorway, a threshold strip. Because a broken cover keeps working in the sense that the machine still runs, it is easy to leave in place for months, by which time the roller end has been collecting everything the cover was meant to exclude.

Fitment is the SEBO AUTOMATIC X2 and AUTOMATIC X5, and it drops straight in where the factory cover came out. Two related numbers are worth knowing: the dark blue equivalent is 5249DB1, and on the AUTOMATIC X2 the catch that latches the cover shut is 5239GS, which is a separate order if that is the piece that has failed.
