This genuine SEBO Brush Roller Release (white) fits the Automatic X4 and X5 uprights. It is the catch in the power head that holds the brush roller in its bearings and releases it for cleaning or replacement.
Repeated use wears the locking surfaces, and a failed release will let the roller shift under load or lock up so it cannot be removed. A roller that moves in its seat scrapes the sole plate and throws the drive belt, leaving thin lines of uncleaned carpet. The correct white release restores firm, tool-free operation.
