Part TFM1194V is a wye, or Y-shaped, fitting for metal central vacuum tubing that brings a branch line into a main run at a gentle 45-degree merge rather than the sharp corner of a straight tee. That shallower merge is what keeps debris sliding smoothly through the junction instead of piling up against a square edge every time the system runs.

Metal and PVC central vacuum tubing are joined by different methods, so fittings and jointing materials are not something to substitute between the two systems. Choosing a wye fitting over a straight tee at a branch point is generally the better call, since the softer merge cuts down on the turbulence a sharp junction creates, and less turbulence at that junction means less resistance for the power unit to pull against.
