Part 403A is the VacShield antimicrobial build of MD's deluxe dusting brush, the same tool MD sells as 403 in white and 403B in black. It is an oval soft-bristle brush 3-1/2 inches wide with bristles about 1-1/2 inches long, sized for the surfaces a bare nozzle would mark: sills, drapes, blinds, audio and video gear, ceiling corners and trim.

A dusting brush sees more direct surface contact than almost any other attachment, which is why MD offers a treated version of it at all. MD describes VacShield as an antimicrobial coating applied inside and out, including the bristles, and rates the coating for up to about a year depending on how hard the tool is used.
