This OEM Hoover motor exhaust boot fits the Model 2000 series, including the 404 and related S-series machines. The boot channels the motor's exhaust airflow and seals that path as air leaves the motor.
A cracked or hardened exhaust boot leaks air at the motor outlet, which weakens airflow and can let unfiltered air escape. A fresh boot restores a sealed exhaust path and steady airflow through the machine. Sealing the exhaust also keeps the air moving in one direction, which the filtration downstream depends on.
