Part 515 is a metal mounting bracket with a spigot, used to rough in a central vacuum inlet during new construction. MD supplies it with the coupling already attached, plus a gasket and screws.

MD's instructions are to fix the bracket to a stud, connect a fitting such as a tight 90 or a coupling to the flange on its back side when piping, and finish the inlet later with a basic inlet valve cover. Set the height and the depth carefully at this stage, because once drywall closes over a rough-in bracket, moving it means opening the wall again.
