Need to return an item? We’re happy to help. Eligible items may be returned by requesting authorization within 35 days of delivery. Once approved, your return must reach us within 21 days.
Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

The motor bay on an ESSENTIAL G upright is closed off by this gray-black moulding, SEBO part 2826GS. It keeps dust away from the motor and holds the cooling path in shape around it, and it is the same number on the ESSENTIAL G1, ESSENTIAL G2, ESSENTIAL G4 and ESSENTIAL G5.
Covers of this sort break through knocks and over-tightened screws rather than through wear, and a cracked one stops sealing where it matters. Debris gets into the motor area and cooling air escapes before it has done its work, which is the sort of fault that shortens a motor's life quietly rather than stopping the machine outright. The signs are a cover that no longer sits flush, a screw that spins in a broken boss, or a warmer than usual exhaust after a long run.
Fitting a new one is a screwdriver job. Move any seals or gaskets over from the damaged cover, check the fasteners go back into the holes they came from, and tighten evenly rather than pulling one corner down first. It is a natural moment to look at the filtration on the same machine, since the motor depends on it: pre-motor microfilter 5036AM, HEPA microfilter 5812ER or anti-odor microfilter 5425AM sit ahead of the motor, exhaust filter 2846 sits behind it under cover 2820GS, and a clogged bag 5093AM starves the airflow the motor is cooled by. Carbon brush set 05117S is the wear item inside the motor itself.
