Edges, corners and stair treads are where a rolling machine cannot follow, and this is the brush that covers them by hand. Part 3055HG is drawn at position 10 in the SEBO Duo parts diagram and is finished in light gray to match the machine it belongs to.
Its entire job is agitation. DUO-P compound releases soil only once it has been driven down among the fibres, so powder dusted onto a stain and then left alone tends to sit there looking untreated, which owners usually read as the compound not working. A few firm passes with this brush push the granules into the pile at full strength on that one area, and the vacuum then takes powder and soil away together.
Bristles flatten with use. Once they splay outward the brush rides over the surface instead of reaching into it, and a brush in that state quietly wastes the compound you are putting down. Replace it when the face no longer stands upright under light pressure.
