Product details
TurboCat takes its drive from a turbine that the vacuum's own airflow spins, so part 455 arrives with no cord, no pigtail and nothing to wire. MD publishes the cleaning path at 12.5 inches and states that any central vacuum hose will run it.
It hangs on a lower extension wand of the non-button-lock type, which MD does not pack with the head. The same nozzle has carried a lot of badges over the years, and MD lists it as the replacement for the TurboCat Plus, the TurboCat V, the TurboCat II, Turbocat Vacuflo, TL2000, T210, TP210, Ultra TP210, VM179, VM179B and the turbine heads RD1990 and HD-1990.
With no motor of its own there is little in here to burn out. A roll that has slowed or stopped normally points at a blocked hose, a full canister or bag, or hair wound onto the roller. Wheels, neck, roller and turbine are all carried as separate service parts.
