TF5546BV is a Vaculine cover guard for a wall inlet still in the rough-in stage of a central vacuum install. It snaps over the roughed-in opening during construction or renovation, sealing off the pipe until the finished inlet valve and trim are ready to go on.
An open inlet on an active jobsite collects drywall dust, paint overspray, and general debris, and once that material gets into the pipe it is hard to remove completely. This guard keeps the opening sealed from rough-in through to final trim.
