This 15 ft electric hose, part 350G, is a direct connect hose for central vacuum systems wired for power attachments. An electric hose runs power conductors along the suction line, so an electric power brush at the far end draws mains power through the hose rather than from a cord trailing across the floor. That is what separates an electric hose from a low voltage hose, which carries only the on and off signal for the power unit.
Direct connect means the hose's electrical contacts complete the circuit through the wall inlet itself as you push the hose in, rather than through a separate pigtail cord you plug into an outlet by hand each time.
