This 7.2 inch motor gasket (SKU 220) is the mounting gasket for central vacuum motors with a 7.2" bottom diameter, such as many Lamb Ametek units. Its job is simple but important: it prevents metal-to-metal contact when the motor is bolted into the unit, cushioning the mount and protecting both the motor base and the housing.

  • Fits: 7.2" diameter central vacuum motors
  • Function: isolates motor from the mounting surface during bolt-down
  • When to order: alongside a replacement motor, or when the old gasket is damaged

When you replace a central vacuum motor, a new gasket is not always required — inspect the old one first. Please note: some units use larger, form-fitting gaskets with a more specialized shape. If your original gasket is one of these, reuse the original rather than substituting this flat gasket, as the form-fitting design must stay in place to prevent damage to components. For standard 7.2" motors with a simple worn or torn gasket, SKU 220 is the correct, inexpensive fix.
