Open the bag door on an AIRBELT D and the moulded gray black insert facing you is what squares the dust bag collar up each time the compartment shuts. That part is 8129GS, supplied new here to suit the D1 Turbo as well as the D4 Premium.
Nothing else in that chamber gets handled as often, because it stands in the way at every single bag change. Fingernails, the corner of a heavy full bag and the occasional impatient shove all land on the same few tabs. The results are predictable: fine splits running along a mounting tab, a corner that has gone brittle with the years, or a tab missing outright. The collar then sits askew in its slot, and any gap at that joint routes dirty air past the bag and on toward the filters. It is why a machine with a broken insert darkens its filters far quicker than the bag count would ever explain, and why the dust so often appears on the clean side of the chamber.
