Part GASCUT02 seals the joint where a motor meets the body of a central vacuum power unit, sized to a 5.5 in. outside diameter and a 4 in. inside diameter, and 1/8 in. (3.2 mm) thick. That seal is what keeps the working airflow moving through the motor instead of leaking around its edge.

Rubber gaskets compress and harden with heat cycling over years of running, and once one flattens or cracks the unit loses suction even though the motor itself is still healthy. Pulling the motor for any reason, whether for cleaning, a bearing check, or a full motor swap, is the natural point to renew the gasket rather than reuse a worn one.
