Order by the shade in front of you rather than by the badge on the machine. The parts list for this upright splits into colour blocks, not into separate models, so several hooks share that item number and the finish is the only thing telling them apart. Get that wrong and the part fits perfectly while looking obviously replaced.
There is nothing to the hook mechanically, and that is exactly why it fails: a cantilevered plastic arm loaded in bending by the tension of a wound cable, flexed twice a day for years. Once it has split at the root it will still hold a loose coil, then release it without warning, usually while the machine is being carried. Renew it as soon as a crack shows.
