The CT20 electric power brush, part 484, is a motorized carpet head for central vacuum systems wired for electric power. MD lists it as a replacement electric beater brush for Ace, Kenmore and Hayden power heads among others, which is the usual reason people buy one: the original head died and the hose and wand are still good.
MD calls out a V-belt in place of the traditional cogged vacuum belt and says it lasts considerably longer, which matters because a snapped belt is the most common failure on any power head. The rest of the feature set is what you want on a daily-driver carpet brush: a low profile that clears furniture, height adjustment, a foot release, an overload reset, an integrated light and edge cleaning along the sides.
