MD lists part 402DA as the VacShield antimicrobial build of its 12-inch deluxe hard floor brush, sold otherwise as 402D in white and 402DB in black. MD calls this its best-selling floor tool, and the design reason is the bristle layout: bristles run 360 degrees around the head, and they are short, which gives stronger agitation than a long soft bristle can.
This is the plain 12-inch head with no wheels, which keeps it low and lets the bristles stay in contact with the floor. MD rates it for tile, wood, marble, cork and bamboo. VacShield is the antimicrobial coating MD applies inside and out, including the bristles, and it rates that coating for up to about a year depending on use and wear.
