Part 43582011 is the replacement pump for a long run of Hoover SteamVac carpet cleaners. It is the component that moves cleaning solution out to the nozzle when you call for it, and stops that flow when you let go.
This part usually turns up as one of three complaints: pulling the trigger produces no solution at all even though the brushes keep spinning and suction stays strong, solution keeps running once you have let go of the trigger, or you notice the machine has left water on the floor after sitting unused for a while. A worn pump can cause any of the three, but rule out a split hose or a seal that no longer holds before ordering, since either can mimic the same symptoms from outside the machine.
