The Handle Fork Bushing is a genuine OEM Kirby component that fits the Classic Omega 1CB, Classic III 2CB, 516, Heritage II, Heritage II Legend, and Legend II uprights. It seats inside the handle fork, giving the pivot a smooth, low-friction bearing surface as the machine reclines.
Over years of use the original bushing dries out and wears oval, which lets the handle rock, click, or bind at the fork. A loose pivot makes the vacuum harder to steer and puts stress on the surrounding castings. Fitting a fresh bushing restores a tight, quiet pivot and takes the play back out of the handle.
