SKU 409P is MD's bumpered combo tool for rugs and bare floors: a light grey guard of medium-density, scuff-free material runs the full perimeter of the head, so furniture legs and baseboards are protected every time the tool taps them. Underneath the bumper is the same proven 11-inch combo design: bristles down for hard floors, bristles retracted for a smooth glide across carpet, with an attached lint brush pad that gathers hair from the pile.

There is no rotating brush roll in this tool. For motorized-style carpet agitation, a turbine carpet brush — spun by airflow rather than electricity — fits your system the same way and cleans carpet more deeply.
