Product details

D015-0900 is the steel bottom plate for 4000-series household upright vacuums. It forms the floor of the nozzle, sets the height of the brushroll over the carpet and anchors the wheels and latches that hold the cleaning head together.

Base plates are replaced for two reasons: impact damage from thresholds and furniture legs, or wear at the leading edge from thousands of passes over carpet. Either one changes the gap between the brushroll and the floor, and a nozzle that sits even a couple of millimeters off loses noticeable pickup on medium and high pile.
