Product details

For ProTeam's 6-quart hip vac, the Super HalfVac Pro, these are the micro filter bags cataloged as part 106960 and sold ten to a box.

Because a hip vac rides on the operator through a full shift rather than sitting still in a fixed chamber, a filling bag makes itself known differently than it would on an upright. Airflow through the media drops as the bag packs down, so the motor works harder to move the same volume of air, and that extra effort shows up as added heat and pull at the operator's waist before the vacuum ever sounds different at the nozzle.

Cleaning crews running these all day tend to notice the pull first, since it changes gradually across the shift rather than all at once. A bag that felt light at the start of the day and heavy by the afternoon is telling the operator something even before it looks anywhere near full.

Swap the bag once it reaches roughly two-thirds capacity rather than running it out completely. Past that point a bag compresses under its own load, and whatever capacity is left comes at the cost of airflow the operator is effectively paying for in fatigue. Keeping a spare on hand avoids that trade-off mid-shift, when there is rarely a convenient moment to stop and change one.

  • Part: 106960, 10 bags per pack
  • Fits: ProTeam Super HalfVac Pro, 6 qt
  • Function: first-stage capture for everything the vac picks up
  • Change when: the bag nears two-thirds full or harness pull increases
