Product details

Debris left behind on the pull stroke usually points at the panel behind the roll rather than at suction. Part 2304GS is the gray black rear bottom plate used on ET-1 floor nozzles, closing off the rear of the underside and setting the height at which the trailing lip meets the floor.

SEBO catalogues it at position 109 in three separate diagrams, the ET 1 / ET 2 power head list, the DART list and the FELIX list, each time as the complete rear bottom plate. Scraping, cracking and warping all open a gap along that edge, and a gap there bleeds air away from the roll where the airflow is meant to be doing its work. The symptoms read as a general loss of pickup on carpet, a thin line of grit left behind the head, or a nozzle that feels light and skittish instead of settling onto the floor. Hard flooring and threshold strips do most of the damage, since the plate takes the load every time the head is dragged backwards over a raised edge.

Turn the head over and sight along the rear lip before ordering. A plate worn thin, missing a corner or bowed away from the shell is doing none of its job, and no amount of bag or filter changing will bring the pickup back while it stays there. The same panel covers a wide spread of machines, since the SEBO FELIX Premium, DART and C3.1 uprights and the AIRBELT D4 Premium, AIRBELT E3 Premium and AIRBELT K3 Premium canisters all run ET-1 heads. This is the gray black version; light gray heads take part 2304HG instead.
