Replacement bleed valve slide for the hose handle on Riccar R30, Simplicity S30 and Maytag M1200 uprights, molded in black. Opening the vent drops suction at the tool, which is how you release a curtain, rug fringe or piece of upholstery that the nozzle has grabbed.
The slide rides in a track on the handle and either wears loose or snaps off with use; once it is gone the vent stays open and the machine loses draw through the hose. Part B455-8114 covers the slide alone. A combined slide and gasket assembly exists for the earlier MV and PV handles and is a different component, so match the part to your handle before ordering.
