ULW-B2 packages two of the flat belt shared by the Riccar, Simplicity and Fuller Brush lightweight upright vacuums, a belt that also turns up under the Eureka and Sanitaire SC7500A. Buying it as a single is an option too, sold apart from this two-pack.
A broken belt on one of these light machines is deceptively quiet, since nothing about the motor or the airflow changes. Suction feels normal at the hose, but the roller underneath has gone dead, so the carpet gets passed over without actually being agitated. Turning the roller by hand with the belt off settles the question quickly: no resistance at all means the belt has already stretched free or snapped.
While the machine is open, take the moment to clear wound hair and thread off the roller ends. A roller that binds puts the new belt under load from its first pass, and that is the quickest way to be back at the same job a month later with the second belt out of the pack.
