Ten M10 x 25 countersunk screws come under part 01033ER, which is the quantity most benches buy when a DISCO polisher is due to come apart. The same fastener repeats around the machine, and at least one always rolls somewhere unhelpful during reassembly.
The DIN 7991 taper does more than tidy the surface. As the head draws into its seat it centres itself, so whatever sits underneath is located as well as held down. Swap in a pan head of the same thread and you keep the clamp but give up that alignment, and the head is left standing proud as well, which on a machine that runs flat against the floor is asking for it to catch. The drive is a hexagon socket, so a decent set of hex keys is the only tool the job needs.
Order the bag when the polisher is coming apart for bearing or pad-drive work rather than for a single failed fixing. Screws that have been through several strip-downs show it in the socket first, and one that no longer takes a clean key bite is a problem best solved before it is torqued up again.
