SEBO Motor Cover Seal for C...

Product details
Gaskets harden with heat, and the one sitting under the motor cover of a SEBO C canister is no exception. SKU 6306 is the factory seal for that cover, forming the airtight border between the motor compartment and the body of the machine.
Trace the airflow through a C1.1, C2.1 or C3.1 and the reason it matters becomes obvious. Debris drops into the bag, the airstream crosses the microfilter, and whatever is left is drawn through the vacuum motor before it leaves by the exhaust. The motor sits beneath its own cover, and this gasket is what forces air to arrive through the intended opening instead of creeping in around the cover edge. SEBO lists the surrounding pieces on the same three machines: motor cover 6196, cord-reel cover 6192, and seal 6186, which closes both covers down against the bottom casing.
Once the gasket goes flat or tears, air short-circuits around the cover instead of travelling the intended path, which shows up as weaker pickup and a faint dusty smell at the exhaust. A fresh seal closes that gap. Wipe the sealing groove clean and lay the new one in evenly before the cover goes back down, and look over the rubber mountings and the front and rear motor supports while you have access.
