Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.
Shipping and refunds
For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Without tension behind it the locking rod in a bag compartment is only a loose bar. SEBO 5084 supplies that tension. It is the small spring that keeps the rod pressed down onto the dust bag collar on the AUTOMATIC X and ESSENTIAL G uprights, and SEBO draws it at position 39 in the AUTOMATIC X7/X8 diagram and position 24 in the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 diagram.
Springs of this size have a finite number of cycles in them, and this one is compressed and released at every single bag change. Once it has lost its set the rod rests slack against the collar rather than clamping it, and the bag can then walk off the inlet during use. The tell is a bag that has shifted when the door is opened, dust sitting loose in the compartment, or a rod that flops instead of snapping back when you move it by hand. Because the part is tiny and cheap, most people renew it whenever the compartment is open for any other reason rather than going back in later.
