Return eligibility
Items must be unused, in new condition, and include their original packaging and all accessories. Machines that use water cannot be returned once unboxed, unless defective upon arrival.

For non-defective returns, customers cover return shipping. Original shipping charges are nonrefundable. If your order included free shipping, our actual outbound shipping cost will be deducted from your refund. Eligible returns have no restocking fee.

Position 36 in SEBO's AUTOMATIC X4/X5 exploded diagram, position 32 in the X7/X8 drawing and position 18 in the ESSENTIAL G4/G5 drawing all point at the same small component: stop spring 5146. It supplies the return tension that keeps a moving assembly sitting against its stop instead of drifting away from it.
Springs fatigue quietly. The first sign is normally a rattle, or a mechanism that no longer snaps back where it belongs, and by then the coil has already lost its set. Because the part is cheap and buried, most people fit one only when the machine is already open for something else — which is the right moment, since getting back in costs far more time than the spring costs to buy. Replacing it early also saves the trim that a loose assembly eventually wears through. Fitting one is a matter of unhooking the tired coil and hooking the new one onto the same two anchors, with the machine unplugged and the area clear of loose fasteners.
