Vaculine's inlet extension, part TF5541BV, closes a gap that shows up when a wall is built thicker than standard, adding room between the valve and its mounting bracket.
Slotted in ahead of the mounting plate and behind the inlet's own spigot, it adds roughly 1.66 in. (about 4.2 cm) of reach so the finished valve sits flush with the wall surface rather than standing proud of it. Thicker-than-standard framing shows up most on exterior walls with added insulation, over double-layered drywall, or around a chase built to clear existing plumbing or ductwork, any of which can push the needed depth past what the standard combination reaches alone.
