Part 52032GS is the right-hand block in gray black, and it is the seat that the right end of the roller turns in. Hair and grit work their way into a block over the years, and once the bore is scored the roller stops spinning true. That drag shows up as a slower brush, a hotter belt and more noise than the machine ought to make. In the worst cases the roller sits a fraction off centre and scuffs its own housing, which is the point at which a cheap part starts costing money. Clear the roll of wrapped hair while the block is out, check the belt for glazing or cracking, and the repair lasts a great deal longer.

Work with the machine unplugged and laid on its back, and keep the fixings together as they come out. A block that has been running dry usually leaves a polished band on the roller shaft, so inspect the roller end for scoring before deciding the block alone was the whole problem. If the roller release at the same end has felt vague, the ring and spring behind it are worth doing in the same session rather than opening the head twice.
